What a Prime Years Companion Agency Companion Does
As a Prime Years Companion Agency Companion, your role is to offer supportive, non-medical companionship to adults who may be experiencing isolation, major life changes, mental health challenges, reduced confidence, or difficulty getting out and about.
You may support clients by:
- Spending quality one-to-one time together.
- Going for walks or visiting a local café.
- Supporting with outings, hobbies, and community activities.
- Offering companionship after hospital discharge or during difficult periods.
- Helping someone rebuild confidence, routine, and social connection.
- Being a reassuring, consistent presence in everyday life.
Who This Role Suits

Essential Requirements
- Driving: You must hold a full, current UK driving licence and have your own car.
- Right to Work: You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Reliability: You must be professional and able to travel between visits for clients.
- DBS Check: All companions must undergo an enhanced DBS check.
